Tony,
There is enough evidence that seroconversion in hiv-2 might be delayed.I just dont want to miss it.Also I'm not disagreeing with you about htlv. There is a strong possibility of that also. But to not investigate hiv-2 when it is pretty much endemic in my country would not be the right thing.
Just to update you I had few blood tests yesterday. Hiv1&2 western blot, hiv 1&2 rna qualitative,hiv-2 proviral dna and cd-4 count.I will get the western blot result tomorrow and other results later.I will update the thread as soon as i get the result.

I just dont know what to say.One of the worst days of my life.Just got a call from the lab. They said hiv-2 rna and dna both are positive and they need a repeat blood sample on monday to confirm. My western blot came back negative.I just dont know what to say.I'll update probably after the confirmation. In the meantime please pray for me guys.I really need it.I was the only one here who tested positive.I feel so unlucky and devastated.

oye just did some research, if you had negative antibody tests. then the likely hood of having a false positive is VERY HIGH. gluck man i think this was a mistake getting tested using the pcr.

Hi everyone! I know we are still plagued by the illnesses we encountered months and years ago.
Tony, I know that you and I are one of those persons that this illness attacked over 4 years. I was dealing with a symptom the other day which is, pebble stool. This started over a month & is still happening. Now I am having a something like a flu that won't go away. My eyes, head, feet, all in pain. My mouth has a bitter taste & a very bad cold on my chest that burns whenever I cough. A high fever that comes n goes, & I just can't eat anything. It's almost a week now & no form of improvement even thou I'm on medications.
Any suggestions on how to deal with these feeling?

hi. i think its been mentioned... take, if ur not yet, some probiotics, green grasses like barley or wheat, vco, turmeric or olive leaf oils whatever s available. Not medications, these are healing foods like spirulina is.

Hello everyone,
I just got my confirmation test results. The second time all the tests are negative. But I've been told by my doc its a very good thing that the tests are negative but to get retested after sometime because he says hiv-2 viral load generally remains undetected in most of the patients and sometimes it can be detected in proviral dna and rna.But the test for hiv-2 is not fda approved because it is not reliable.
So right now I'm a but relieved but still facing a lot of skin issues and lymph nodes.Thank you everyone for your prayers.I'll keep each one of you in my prayers and i hope you too would pray for me.
And I'll keep updating the thread until my illness resolves and will be there for everyone. And I hope I dont have hiv.
Its been 231 days- 33 weeks today.

Hii nicelescu
I am sick for the last 7.5 months. My exposure was 13th june 2015.Hiv tests are generally accurate after 8 weeks and mostly conclusive after 3 months.Sometimes the duration may be longer but it isn't mostly. You can see here on this thread that no one has tested positive. But the thing is i'm concerned about hiv-2 for which the window period maybe longer but the good news for you is that hiv-2 is not in every country. It is only restricted to west africa and few parts of india and even in these countries it very rare.
So my advice to you is test after 3 months if negative than forget hiv.
May god be with you and i'll pray that you remain negative.
