center called it a negative.both of mine came postive?

User Profile
My last period was on June 15. I took 3 hpt between July 15 and 16, which were all positive. Then I went to the womens center and the test was such a faint positive that they just settled as calling it a negative. Going home disappointed I bought 2 more hpt and both of those came postive the next day. Im lost, am I pregnant? Is there a posibility that Im miscarrying? I had two miscarriages before I had my daughter, who is now 3 and a half.

Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum,
Do not doubt the positive UPT results as false positive results are rare (and will not usually repeat on repeated testing). You should consider requesting your gynecologist/obstetrician for getting serial HCG levels tested. Doubling up of the hormone levels in 48-72 hours will show that pregnancy is going on smoothly. If levels are not adequate, and spotting/brown discharge is under control, then external hormonal supplements should be considered to be started to help with preventing miscarriage/threatened abortion. Take adequate rest. Drink plenty of water. Maintain healthy diet. Avoid any heavy work. Avoid having intercourse during first trimester. Avoid lifting heavy objects and climbing stairs or standing for long periods.
Take care.
