Causes of delayed and missed periods

User Profile
i am about 2 weeks late for my period...i have had sex on the 15 of august and it was protected. My period is usually regular except last month it was also late due to the plan b i took. I just started my junior year so i do have a lot of stress. I had a case of bulimia earlier. I also suffered depression. I had occasional craps the past two weeks but no blood. I took two First Response pregancy tests and they were negative.

i have a white liquid, non odor liquid coming from my vagina...this happens all the time, but right now it seems like there is more. there isnt a lot but i heard that you only get that when you are pregnant. is this true?
and is it stress or the fact that i quit smoking or something else that is stopping my period?
and (god forbid) what is my percentage of being pregnant?
and how accurate are the 99% at home tests?

If you had unprotected sex on the 15th of August and this fell in your fertile period, then you could be pregnant, especially since you missed the period. Chances are less likely but cannot be ignored completely.

The home pregnancy tests are quite reliable but if not done correctly can give a false positive or a false negative result. Tests done at labs or an ultrasound are thus more accurate.

Bulimia, stress, alcohol, poor diet, anemia, and smoking, etc., can all change the pattern of the cycle and delay the period. Hypothyroidism, contraceptive pills, and polycystic disease of the ovary can cause delayed or missed periods.

It is difficult to determine the cause over the internet. Please consult your gynecologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
