Hello,
I am looking for feedback from those who are suffering from concussion. My husband suffered a concussion three weeks ago and is having trouble with his recovery. What can I do to support him? I am worried. He is 57, very active and is getting depressed because his symptoms are lingering.

Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

In case of a traumatic brain injury, TBI, certain worrisome signs and symptoms can be noted at home by the caregiver. These include persistent vomiting , seizures , episodes or general loss of consciousness, memory lapses ( anterograde and retrograde amnesia) that are progressive. In case any of these signs are positive , imaging studies like CT. MRI should be planned in consult with your doctor and treatment started according to the presenting cause.

wishing you best of health

thanks
