It is possible if you had unprotected sex within that time frame, not common but possible. I personally didn't always start my period exactly on the first day of the last week of pills, sometimes it was almost the last pill of the pack. Your friends are correct your mind can play silly games on you the more you think about and worry about it your body tricks itself.

I think it is completely possible to force yourself. I've started having sex for the first time in 3 years, and after 2 months I've already convinced myself I was pregnant. 2 days after what I decided was conception I had to pee a lot, or i THOUGHT i was peeing a lot. Then I kept saying I was hot, but I was probably just so stressed due to my own foolishness that I had run a temp. The stress also contributed to a head ache which i convinced myself was another symptom. Next I was nauseous, again, stress. Then I thougth my boobs were getting huge and decided that they had changed, but honestly i was just so panicked i couldn't remember what they looked like and decided they must be different if i couldn't simply look down and say "hey they look normal". to make matters worse I got the final symptom, a damn yeast infection, but I never stopped to think that maybe i got one because i'm having sex for the first timein 3 years, lol. All in all, there is NO WAY that i could have ovulated the day after my period, felt symptoms 2 days later, and been correct...lol. But then again I guess i wont know for another 14 days for sure... hm... hopefully i'm just being crazy... i'm sure i am... i hope lol (here we go again Sad ) lol

I have given my self a false pregnancy one to many times. The more you keep thinking about it and all the symptoms, your body can start reacting to them.
