Can I take my Nuvaring out about 12 hours early?

I first started the Nuvaring on 7/11 around 10pm because that's when my period came. It's know time to take it out tomorrow 8/1 and i want to try to get on a more reasonable schedule for me and i want to change the ring around 10am. If i take it out at 10am tomorrow morning will that lessen the effectiveness?

Hello,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

You can take out the Nuvaring 12 hours prior but make sure that you do not have any unprotected intercourse during that time (although still chances of pregnancy are less) and you put the new ring after 7 days of taking out the ring at exactly the same time.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and regards.
