Hello,

Welcome to ehealthforum amd thanks for writing

Herpes simplex can cause eye infection and is contagious. It can be transmitted through contact with an infected person or by self if there is presence of active oral infection.Infected person can transmit the infection through sneezing, coughing, rubbing the eyes etc.

Some common symptoms are pain, redness, blurred vision in the eyes.If there is development of any such symptom consider visiting a Physician for evaluation.Relax and avoid contact with any person whom you suspect to be infected. Maintain general hygeinic measures.

Take care!
