Came and went suddenly, what the..?

I was at work today and felt a pain in my pubic area, a tightening feeling. I felt there and noticed a large egg shaped lump. Obviously you can imagine the worry! It was big, i thought it was going to blow lol. Then 2 minutes later it went and it hasn't come back. What the hell is that all about?

I had unprotected sex on saturday. Could this be related? I was tested clear for STD's only a couple of weeks ago.

Thanks for your time!

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out. From the symptoms,so possibilities or inguinal hernia is there. My sincere advice would be to get a physical examination done from a urologist.

Hernias may show as a protuberance which goes down on lying down and shows up on coughing or doing Valsalva maneuver. An ultrasound/ CT abdomen and genitalias can help in confirming the diagnosis.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
