Burning when urinating occurs once in the day

I am a 21 year old female. Every few months (Since I was about 18 or so) I usually get a burning sensation when I urinate. It only occurs once for about an hour after I urinate and then I am fine. In the last month it has been happening every other week or so and recently it has happened every other day. Again, it only occurs once in the day at a random time. I have never bothered to seek medical help as it usually only happens one time every couple of months. I have been taking birth control and Allegra-D on a daily basis for the past 2 years. I have had the same sexual partner for the last 4 years, I know he hasn't been with anyone else. I am not dehydrated and I have a decent diet. The sensation usually lasts around an hour and sometimes I can relieve it by soaking in a hot bath. I am very uncomfortable with the idea of a doctor being in my lady bits so I have kind of avoided going to see a doctor, plus it usually never occurs often enough for me to see a doctor in time for them to see my symptoms. Any ideas as to what is causing this? Or how I can stop/prevent this? Anything helps, I am getting desperate!
