Welcome to e health forum.

The cause of the swelling in the temple cannot be diagnosed without a physical examination.

The possible cause can be due to skin lumps (abscess, sebaceous cysts, etc) or due to bony outgrowths or other issues.

A proper physical examination would be required to make a proper diagnosis. Hence it would be recommended to consult your doctor and seek a proper medical opinion.
