Hi my husband and I have been trying for a baby for the last couple of months. I experience brown spotting a few days ago but only twice when i went to the toilet. Now around when my period is due i am having brown bloody discharge, not enough to wear a pad, no clots and very very light cramping that only lasted a couple of hours. I took a hpt a few days ago but it was negetive. My breasts are slightly bigger but not tender and I have been having really bad headaches for the past three days. Do you think there is any chance that i could be pregnant or am i just getting my hopes up.

Welcome to the ehealthforum. I am glad to help you out. The pregnancy needs to be ruled out and in case the urine pregnancy test was negative, then a serum pregnancy test can be done. This is a much more sensitive test and detects the levels of the beta HCG in the serum. If the serum test is also negative, then the chances of pregnancy are minimal. Please do consult a gynaecologist for the same. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
