brown blood during ur normal menstraul cycle

what does that mean to have old brown blood on your first day of ur cycle, then switch to normal the other few days, and then change again on the 4th and 5th day to brown old blood? Question

Eceitnas, I always thought that is pretty normal? It means that your light flow stays inside your uterus for a while before coming out. It can be because it is lighter and it's taking longer for gravity to get it out. Your uterus lining is excreting an anticoagulant to prevent it from clotting or caking but it still reacts with air to go brown.

Is this heavier than just a very light flow or spotting?
