Broken clavicle fixed by plate - vein now shows over plate

hi all,

I broke my clavicle bone at the end of June and had an operation a week later (start of July) to insert a plate to have this held together.

I've been to a number of checkups and xrays to ensure everything is healed and all is feeling good now - I've also had the all clear from the doctor.

I've had full use of the arm for a number of months now and have started benching again. However although there is no pain, I've noticed what appears to be a vein or something that clearly appearing over the plate and up my neck so I was wondering what is this? It doesn't appear on the other side so is obviously something to do with the plate that has been installed.

It could be normal and you may observe it If it enlarges then you should get a repeat x ray and an ultrasound for subclavian vessels patency done in consult with your doctor.
