Breathing, tiredness, forgetfulness.

User Profile
Hi, I'm 21 years old and for a long time I'm always tired. I find it difficult to concentrate and focus. When I try and focus or concentrate my mind goes off and does something else. I find it so difficult to concentrate. Also I have a hard time remembering things. I can be told to get something from the shop, get there and forget, 9 times out of 10 I do this.
Also when I am told something, for example; If my mum or dad, sibling, nieces nephews go to the doctors, I should be able to remember this to ask them how it went, if they're ok, I forget.
I forget what I am told to do at work.
What customers tell me
Another example; The Friday just gone, I managed to agree to have my nephew all day who is 2, agree to work 8am-2pm, agree to have my other two nephews round and their dad, plus agree for my friends to come round and stay....I forgot every single thing when I agreed.
I can have 10 hours sleep and still be tired, have 5 hours sleep, be tired, have 8 hours and be tired, no matter what I am tired.
Last night I woke a few times not being able to catch my breathe, felt like I couldn't breathe, so I had to take a deep breathe and then I went straight back to sleep, this happened a few times, and I remember being on my side and one of the times. I keep being woken during my sleep, not always not being able to breathe, just being woken.
I find my self at times only breathing really lightly, I can be on the laptop, or at work, and then for some reason I realize how I am breathing and have to take a deep breathe.
Also I don't really want to socialise with people. I do not have the best of patience with people and like to keep quiet which is not who I am.

I don't want to go to the doctors as they never listen to me, and I feel silly, awkward and small when I am face-to-face with a doctor.

Thank you
Charlotte.

Active User, very eHealthy
Sounds like a visit to your doctor is in order Charlotte. You are describing sleep apnea, a potentially serious sleep disorder, but fortunately treatable. You will do yourself a big favor by addressing this.

Thank you
You think I should?
I believe I should go, but they look at me like I am an idiot, like I've made things up, I wouldn't waste my time going to the doctors if I believe there's something wrong :/
I will go this week and make them listen,
Thank you for replying.

A doctor who is matured enough won't take your issues lightly. Write down your problems in a list and try to sort it out one by one with the help of a doctor.
