Kidney Conditions Answer A49949
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Elevated urea, hyper disturbance in electrolytes, acidosis can all lead to hyperventilation. Get a Chest X ray PA view done and check her saturation stats. PFTs to look for obstructive pattern should be looked for. Ipratropium bromide inhaler or nebulizer at home is a safe choice for symptomatic relief. Get CBC, Urea and electrolytes done in consult with your doctor.

wishing you best of health

thanks
