Breastfeeding and Birth Control. what is best?

Hi, my son is 8 months old, he breastfeeds and eats solids. I was wondering if it is safe to go on birth control and nurse at the same time. If so, what birth control is the best to take while nursing?

Micronor is the only bc that's safe during bf it comes in pills and a shot. Although the shot affects milk production a bit the pills affect in no way.
