The causes may vary depending upon the type of tumor. However certain risk factors that are associated with developing malignancies and brain tumors in particular include Prior chemotherapy immune suppression and genetic mutations predisposing to tumors. The symptoms depend upon the size, location of the tumor and whether the tumor is locally aggressive or not. Treatment depends upon the cause , location and whether the tumor is benign / malignant/metastatic.
