Labor and delivery of my baby girl. My forewaters broke early on the thur morn i started to get slight pain i tel the hosp they said to go there asap when i arrived i was taken to a ward and put on a mon the pains lasted all night untill the next morn when the doc came and exam me and said then i had only dil 2cm so they put me on a drip to speed things up then the pain got very bad and i asked for an epidural so they gave me 1 the pain stoped and i was fine i was 12 hours in the labor ward untill they dec to break my waters then they told me to start to push i could not feel anything my legs was dead i pushed for 4 hours and still nothing was happening so the midwife said i looked exalsted which i was and she thought it was best if i had a forcept del they put my legs in poles and got the doc in to del my baby he told me to push and i did and again and then i saw my daughters head appear i was so releaved and then he told me to stop pushing and as i sat back and looked down again she was gone inside me and then he said 1 more hard push and he del her my forcepts after a very long labor he could not tell me how sorry he was that both her cheeks was bleeding i took no notice really this was my first baby and i was so happy she was ok. durling labor my mon kept going on and off as if it was not working proberly. before my midwife told me i was going to have to have forcepts it was like there was only 2 student nurses all them hours with me and then everyone seemed to be rushing around me like there was something wrong i said is everything ok and they all said yes fine there must have been at this time 1 doc 1 midwife and 4 nurses in the room all in a panic. Well to cut a very long story short baby was fine and i went home then the doc told me that my baby had a clickey hip and to put 2 nappies on her which i did for 6 wks then they said her hip was fine. My daughter did not walk untill she was 17 months old and when she did walk she walked with a slight limp i took her to the doc and he ref me to the hos where they told me there was nothing to worry about she was just flat footed. As time went on her limp got worse and her behaviour was also very bad my doc said she had the naughty 2 years old temper. By the age of 3 she was so hard to cope with my doc send me to the great ormond street hospital for lots of scans and tests untill the day came when the doc wanted us to go to see him for the results he told me and my husband that my daughter had right hemiplega we asked what is it he told us it was another word for spastic we both just sat there in shock we asked him how this had happend and he said it could have been through loss of oxegen during birth or she could have had a stroke in the last 2 weeks of pregnancy but really could not tell us so thinking back to her birth after 3 years we then knew that the doc had let her slip back in side me with the forcepts this would have caused her loss of oxegen even for only a few sec would have caused her to have brain damage which she has got we have tried 2 times to sue to hosp but they keep on saying that she was an easy lifted out i know in my heart that they caused my daughter to have cerebal palsy as the mon was not working right and she prob went into destress her head went back inside me he made dreadful digs on both her cheeks which she still has got as he could not get her out with the forcepts on her head and he let her slip i will take this to my grave with me never ever really knowing the truth i wanted to know has this ever happened to any other mums Thankyou

im sorry you are going through this, i too have a similar story. My son is nearly 2 and has just been diagnosed with global development delay with autistic tendencies.
I had contractions every 15 mins for 8 weeks before my son was born 2 weeks late. I didnt know i was in labour until i was 7.5cm dilated, and instead of calling an ambulance, the midwife put me in the car. we got to the hospital and i was not put on monitors to see if my son was ok. an hour later he was born after one push. He was grey, limp, non responsive and hardly breathing. the midwife handed him to my mum and left him for 40mins before calling for help. The specialists no think that anthony suffered oxygen deprivation at birth which has caused his problems. I am now sueing the midwife for expedential damages.
