BPH and symptoms of Chronical Prostatis

I was told recently that my Prostate is enlarged and I do have all the symptoms of a BPH, but I also have other symptoms of Chronical Prostatis which are: Decreasing libido and a lot of pain in the blaader area after an intercaurse (having sex) .The pain remains for few days before it disappears.
Could I have both ?

I hope somebody can explain to me.

The diagnosis of chronic prostatitis (CP) could not be made based on the clinical data you are providing. There are some lab tests that could definitely determine the chronic prostatitis diagnosis.

Actually, BPH and CP might be present altogether and can simultaneously be treated. Usually, alpha-blockers and 5 alpha reductase inhibitors are prescribed for BPH, and antibiotics and anti-inflammators are prescribed for CP.

For more specific drug therapy, you should consult with your doctor.

Hope it helped!
