My mother is 84 years old and stressed today due to concerns over her son. Her blood pressure this morning was 182 this evening it is 191/121 she says she is not dizzy and is resting at home. She is going to her doctor tomorrow.
Do I need to get help tonight or is it ok for tomorrow.

Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Make sure she takes her daily medication especially if she is using any anti hypertensive medication. If she is not using any then take her to an ER near you, immediately. If its stress related then benzodiazepines and low dose beta blockers can be advised in the absence of any contraindication. However, if its a first presentation and / or there is evidence of any end organ damage then she would require further evaluation and admission.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
