I have noticed that when my cuff fits more tightly on arm my reading is always high. My question is what physically happens in my arm to make it slightly larger when BP is elevated?

Hello and welcome to EHF !

I went through your query and i understand your concern.Cuff tightening should not affect blood pressure reading. If your blood pressure continuously comes higher on manometer then get ambulatory Blood pressure monitoring by your local physician and let them help in this regard.

Take care
