Blood Clots from Oral Contraceptive in young, non-smoker

This is not a question - rather a story: I am 26, non-smoker, 118 pounds - I eat healthy and exercise 5-6 days per week. I just got out of the hospital where a CT scan found multiple blood clots in my lungs ( pulmonary embolism). I was experiencing symptoms similar to heartburn - i felt a tightness when I inhaled large breaths and my left shoulder, sided, and area just under the collarbone felt crampish. I could never have anticipated that it was blood clots - why would I? I am very healthy. I thought it was a pulled muscle or just relentless heartburn until coughed up phlegm and blood on February 14th and rushed to the ER. The cause of this was from my birth control pills. I want to make women aware that you clearly do not have to be over 35 or a smoker or overweight for this to happen. Please consider my story when you are making your choices.
