Welcome to e health forum.

Presence of bright red blood in stools could be due to multiple causes including anorectal hemorrhoids, ‎Dysentry, Diverticulitis, peptic ulcers, intestinal polyps, inflammatory bowel disorders (ulcerative colitis), etc.‎

Anal fissures are very painful while passing bowel movements, and are caused due to severe constipation and hard stools. These ‎fissures can bleed and leave a coating of blood on the stools.‎

You might consider getting yourself examined by your physician, and tests including a stool examination, and if needed a colonoscopy which might help to diagnose the underlying cause.

I hope this helps.
