bleeding isnt due for 5 days, thick black...

My husband and I have been trying to have a baby for 5 months now. I have started bleeding but my period isnt due for 5 days. Its very thick and almost black. is there a problem, may i have had a miscarriage or is this spotting?

Dark bleeding could be due to many reasons. If you suspect to be pregnant, then do not ignore this. Visit your gynecologist for examination and blood HCG level estimation. If the levels are found to be less, then this could signal onset of early miscarriage or threatened abortion. Supplementation of external hormones at the right time can prevent this from occurring. You might also need to be monitored via ultrasound scans to look for viability of the fetus.
