Hi,
Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out. Your concern is regarding the bleeding in pregnancy.

Sometimes bleeding may occur during pregnancy which may be due to decidual bleeding during pregnancy. It occurs in the first trimester ( 12 weeks) of pregnancy and occurs due to a disturbance in the fluctuation of hormones that normally occurs during pregnancy. Other than that, it can be due to hormonal imbalance or corpus luteum defect (the corpus luteum secretes the hormones for sustaining pregnancy till 12 weeks after which placenta takes over). In this case you may need complete bed rest, avoiding any heavy work or exercise and injectable HCG or progesterone supplements till 12 weeks of pregnancy. It can also be due to an impending miscarriage if there is an associated abdominal pain or cramps and the spotting turns to frank bleeding.

You should follow your doctor's advice and take complete bed rest, Avoid any heavy work, exercise, intercourse or climbing stairs. Also take the weekly injections of HCG so as to sustain pregnancy.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
