Birth Control - Loestrin 24 Fe

I'm posting to this website because the doctor offices around me are currently closed until Monday and I am getting frustrated with what is going on. I have been taking Losetrin 24 Fe for at least 6 years. Last Saturday and Sunday (August 11th & 12th) I forgot to take the pill because I ending up unexpectedly staying at a friends house and didn't have my medication with me. However on Monday night I took all 3 pills and then after that have continued taking 1 pill a day as usual. But on that Monday morning my period started (which I assume is because of me missing 2 in a row) and it has not stopped since, so it has been going on for almost 2 weeks. How much longer is this going to go on? Is there any way to help it stop or anything?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
It should not last more than 2 weeks.
Take mefenemic acid and tranexamic acid to combat this problem. If problem persists then consult gynecologist to evaluate you.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
