Bilateral pars intra-articularis

My partner has been told she has a Bilateral pars intra-articularis at L5. She is in constant pain and is currently awaiting an MRI scan before having to discuss the possibility of surgery. She is always having to take pain relief and i was wondering if a Tens machine would help?

It takes a lot of skill to use a Tens Unit for pain relief but it can be effective in treating muscular pain. If you can find an eletro-therapy specialist who's willing to show you how to cycle repetitions to relieve swelling around the veritable safely then it may be worthwhile for you.

A tens machine can help ease muscle pain, but it will not help for deep seeded pain from bone fractures, nerve pain.

If properly shown how to use a machine, and you don't just purchase something yourself on line, it could help, but only if you are trying to relieve muscle pain.
