Schizophrenia Answer A21037
Hi, welcome to the ehealth forum and I am glad to help you.
You seem concerned about paranoid delusions and visual and auditory hallucinations. Paranoid schizophrenia might be possible in your case in which one often feel anxious, more often angry or argumentative, and falsely believe that others are trying to harm them or their loved ones.
No medical tests for schizophrenia exist. CT scans of the head and other imaging techniques may find some changes that occur with schizophrenia and may rule out other disorders.
Antipsychotic medications are the most effective treatment for schizophrenia. They change the balance of chemicals in the brain and can help control the symptoms of the illness. Medications combined with the behaviour therapy might be helpful for you.
But the definitive diagnosis is not possible online as it requires detailed interview including history and examination for which you need to consult your psychiatrist.
Hope this helps. Take care.
Note: This post is not to emphasise final diagnosis as the same cannot be made online and is aimed just to provide medical information and no treatment suggested above be taken without face to face consultation with health care professional.

Alright,
I am 15 years old and when I was like 13 I used to get made fun of all of the time in school and stuff. Now it seems that I think about those days all of the time. When I think about those times my head fires up with voices saying that I want to be like the people who bullied me when I definately do not and when I try to stand up to them they just say it louder and louder and I do not know how to get them out. Please help me.

I know you are 13 and it's hard to tell your parents these things, but you need to tell your parents what's going wrong in your head. If they don't listen, tell your school social worker. Either way, it sounds like you need anti-psychotic medication as a starter and go from there. Are the voices you hear a male or female voice? Do the voices ever tell you to hurt someone besides yourself? Are these thoughts or are you actually hearing someones voice?
