Bed shaking at night (Page 5)

December 23rd, 2009
Alright i have a solution to all of u with this problem. If you are completely sure that you are fully awake and definately not doing it yourself it is most likely a ghost or a bad spirit that may have a connection to your room for some reason (e.g died there). Research the history of your house and find out if anyone died there and might still be haunting it. If the bed shaking is the only sign of the ghost that probably means it has a connection to the bed, maybe he/she died there during sleep. I know a lot on this topic so this advice is genuine. And to try and get rid of the evil presence you can "clense" your room out and encourage the spirit to move on to the next life.

Oh yeah and to clense all u need to do is make the room a happy safe place and perhaps spray some air freshner to purify the room, it does work.

Bed shaking
I too experience this and it is NOT the twitch, I get the feeling that the bed is shaking, but the twitch is another thing I get, it's a feeling like I'm falling and I jerk awake. It is NOT the bed shaking feeling. THey are definitely two different things. Way different. After 20 years of the bed shaking thing I STILL think it's an earthquake....

advice pls.
What if these experiences have been going on for years? I mean, I've moved around in several apartments, and whatever it is, it's following me. How would the history of my apartment pertain in this kind of situation? And how do I go about finding research on my home? If it is paranormal activity, I want to rid of it ASAP. The older I'm becoming, the more I'm realizing the negative effects this has on me and my life. It's creepy... I want help.

I also get it in hotel rooms, in vacations homes, wherever I go. I KNOW that it is not related to the house I'm in at the time. I did read once on the 'net that one person thinks it had to do with her doing some sort of "astral travel" and that she shook when she "re-entered" her body. I have no memory of any sort of out-of-body travelling, but hey, it's possible.

It is so good to know that others are feeling this, unbidden. I swear, after almost 20 years of it, I STILL think it's an earthquake. I have stopped calling people and asking them if they felt it, though...

happened to me growing up.
I'm going to sound like a nut, but found this pretty interesting, and thought I should post.

When I was a baby, I thoroughly remember my crib going from one side of the room to the other.

Occasionally, growing up, my bed would shake, not me, when I would lay in it.

I also remember that I even went onto a beach trip one time, just days before I went to basic training. It shook so violently, I had to get up, check under the bed, and then ask the people I was staying with if there was an earthquake.

Anyway, it's been years since the last time that that happened. And I swear I'm not making it up.

Demons on the loose
No... it has to be paranormal because other things were happening as well.... radio coming on at random times when no one was at the house but myself... one time it came on while I was asleep, and the scariest part about it was that the lyrics in the song playing were " I know what your dreaming" It was tuned in to a radio station I don't listen too. No lie!! Also lights flickering on/off...cold spots...feelings of pins in my head...it's f%$*in weird. I can't attribute this bizarre crap as something positive. It doesn't fit the puzzle. There's nothing great about a shaking bed that leaves people speechless, and confused... tell yourself what you like... I disagree..

Shaking Bed.
Well its interesting to read that all of you have had " the bed shaking problem". As for me its happened a third time in a row this week. I dont know what could be happening. The first time it happened I was woken from deep sleep, and saw my bedroom door opening. I looked and my sisters cat came in and stopped in the doorway. He wouldnt come in all the way into our room. All he did was stare at me, then after 5secs of us staring at eachother, the bed finally stopped shaking the cat leaves and doesnt come back( witch is soo not like maverick).I then rolled over to see if my husband had moved any, and he hadnt. The second time it happened was the same, bed shaking, I wake up, cat stops at doorway, we stare, bed stops shaking, then he leaves. Now this third time was at 6:00 this morining the bed started to shake, I woke up slowly cause my head was hurting, then I feel something swipe my hip. So I thought maybe the cat jumped on me, but it wasnt, my bedroom door was still shut, no cat. I turned to my husband and woke him up to tell him what happened. He didnt know what to say. All three occcurances have only happened when he's home, when Im alone nothing happens. So with that Im really wondering if this is a paranormal thing or something else. Kinda freaks me out a bit.

To EVDA. I suffer from the same thing. Our problem is not that there is a ghost or negative spirit attached to our beds or our home. This entity is attached to our physical bodies, so it does not matter if we move to a different house. It will travel with us. It is caught either in our personal aura or directly to our bodies. The vibrating you feel is the spirit stealing our own energy as it recharges itself. The answer is to find out why the entity has become attached to your aura or physical body.

I have been advised to take salt water baths as that will help loosen the entity's hold on us. Over time it should allow your body to free itself. If you feel as if you are being remotely attacked by an ex, an enemy, etc. then bathe in dark ale water. You can also try using sage and smudging your home and physical body.

thaa has taken the words out of my mouth!! Oh my god, it was like reading exactly what I would have written. I am a very light sleeper and have often been woken up by my bed shaking as though someone was having sex in it. It freaked me out to think that someone (or something?) was doing it to me! It was always gentle and rapid. Eventually I got over the fear and started to think of it as a soothing sensation, like someone was trying to rock me to sleep. I have a heavy wooden bed that otherwise 6 people couldn't move if they tried. So I have been able to find no explanations for this. Too scared to discuss it for fear of being ridiculed. Finally after years decided to google it, and glad to know, whatever the reason, I am not alone!

I pride myself in not being too superstitious, but my bed shaking like this night after night would turn anyone into a believer. Now when I think back, 10 years ago when I was 23, someone had read my palm and said I would never be able to marry. A spirit lives in my vicinity and is in love with me. I need not worry because it will never harm me. But it will never let me marry. I didn't believe it then. But it's been 10 years now. Every relationship I had has failed. Every proposal that has ever come for me through the family has broken for the most trivial of reasons. I'm beginning to wonder if it could be true? Add to that the feeling of being made love to by an invisible force each night (that is the kind of rocking motion in my bed - in a vertical direction from head to toe rather than left-right). What is happening to me? Can anyone here help?

Golddustwoman - I have been told something similar, that the attached entity is in "love" with me. Whenever I had a one-nighter, nothing would happen as it knew it wasn't serious. But the last time I got into a serious relationship, all heck broke out and it began to attack me. It would get so aggressive during the night that I would have to sleep downstairs, which was exactly what it wanted. The goal is to get rid of it.

This has happened to me and only when we moved into this house we are in now. And we have had the same bed for years so it definetly is not the body heat making the cold of the bed vibrate like someone had mentioned here. We would have just got into bed just turned the t.v off in the bedroom and the foot of the bed starts to vibrate very noticably. I asked my boyfriend if he was doing that and he told me he thought I was doing it. I sat up and put my hand down at the foot of the bed and felt the vibrations even with my hand. Remember we are COMPLETELY AWAKE..hadn't even tried to fall asleep yet. I have noticed other things in the house as well... this scared me at first but things have always happened to me at every house I have lived in ( not evil ) just someone telling me they are there ( spirit ) once again not evil. I have no other explanation for this either I have gone through everything this could be. Now I just live with it, it is funny because it comes and goes but when I am not in a good mood and I am having trouble getting to sleep because of the vibrating I just kick the bed while lying down of course in frusteration and it stops ( for that night atleast ) weird!!!' )

Being awoken by the bed vibrating is what I would call the problem I have been having, as well as hearing loud bangs in the night. This has been about once a week for righteen months.

I was widowed very suddenly two years ago, and I don''t want people to start telling me it is his ghost. This feels like I would imagine an earth tremor, or if a train went by the house. But we don''t get earthquakes and the railway is far awy.

This Message is for JangoFett101 ...

Thanks for your reply to my post.... but this is definetly not the house or the bed that is haunted... I have had something follow ME around everywhere I go, and I have moved alot in my life... different things happen all the time not just the bed vibrating.. but I am so used to it... nothing to hurt me or my family just things to let me know that it is there... it has happened my whole life and I am almost 25 years old. Thanks for the advice though...

oh and I have a cat and she''s something that we can''t see... it is really weird... but I was taking a picture in my living room to put some things on craigslist... and I have done this before, so it''s not the lighting..... I caught orbs in several pictures and then decided to stand in the same place moments later and took the same picture.. and there were a lot less of them there.. I know it wasn''t my camera lens because it was very clean.. and even if it was dirty how would it just go away in the next few photos without me cleaning it?

I''ve been experiencing this for years, and it is not just limited to the bed. The shaking happens to me when I am sitting in my lazyboy also; the interesting thing is that one time I set a glass of water on the arm of the chair while it was happening and the surface was not vibrating. Because of that, I do not feel it is a physical vibration that is happening, it is more of a vibration of your energy. I too have been a ghost hunter for years and I believe this has something to do with spirit guides trying to get your attention. Here is a trick, next time it happens, tell "whoever" is shaking you to stop it because you don''t appreciate it. I have tried this and the shaking stopped almost immediately.
