Bed shaking at night
I looked up "bed shaking at night" and found this discussion. I am glad to know I am not the only one experiencing this. The shaking has been going on for, I would say years now. I has always been just before I fall asleep, so I chalked it up to dreaming. However, last night was different. I woke up around 2am thirsty and went to the bathroom. I remember thinking dang it I am so very awake and contemplated just getting up and doing some work on the computer - So I was definitely awake. I decided to try to go back to sleep. I laid down and immediately the bed started shaking. I was so awake. I my mind I said "Stop This!" It stopped... It happened 3 more times and I gave the same reply and each time it stopped. I asked my husband if he was moving or if he felt anything and he sleepily replied no. I don't know what to do. It is starting to scare me. This blog has helped, yet the religious ones have not, especially that excorsizim nonsense - that just scares me more. I swear some people just LOVE drama. I am glad I am not alone. Hopefully someone will figure this out. I have also experienced the feeling of someone sitting at the end of the bed... super scary... also I have felt something touch the middle of my back in-between the shoulder blades... creepy, I hate this.

We live in Scotland and have had unexplained experiences in the house in the past and I have had visitors who have slept in the downstairs bedroom, complain that their bed was shaking in the night. I had not experienced anything like that until about 3 or 4 months ago. I'm not sure if it is me or the bed that is shaking and it goes twice as fast as my heart-beat. It happens every night before I go to sleep. My husband feels nothing. I have asked him to put his hand on my back to see if he can feel me shaking, but he can't feel anything. Last night, I laid on my side with my knees bent and my hands between my knees and I could definitely feel shaking. I must have drifted off to sleep and then I was woken up by it. That's the first time it's woken me up. Quite a scary feeling.

Unexplained bed shaking
I'm so suprissed and glad I read so many stories from people who experienced the same unexplained bed shaking. I live in Holland so please don't mind my english. Last night I went to bed very late and it still took a long time to fall asleep. Suddenly my bed started shaking very strong. It scared me so bad that my hart started racing and I pushed myself up from the matres. I was definitly not sleeping! I think it stopt after a minute or so. I thought this must be an earthquake. But those are very rare in Holland and certainly at the place I live. The next day I seached the net for news about an eartquake but there was nothing. I also thougt it could have been a big truck passing by. But my bed was shaking so hard I can not amagine that a truck good do that. And there are no big roads past my house. The next day I tried to shake the bed myself the way it did the night before. It took me quite some strenght to do that. Now I'm kind of freaking out! What the hell happend last night??? I remember this has happend to me some years ago. I remember asking my colleges about an earthquake. I think I let it go with the thougt that I must have been dreaming. But this time I'm sure I wasn't. I'm not an religious person and I don't believe in demons and ghosts. It was also not the same as the falling sensation you can have when you are falling to sleep. This was very real and different. I havend found an explantion for it yet. But I'm apparently not alone.

Bed shaking
My bed has been shaking for a little over a year now, since I've moved into this house I am in now. There is no pattern to the shaking. I have felt it when I was just drifting off to sleep. I have had it wake me up from a dead sleep. I have had it to wake me up and I get up turn on my light and go back and sit on my bed to have it start shaking again. The only thing that makes it stop is to pray. I call on the name of Jesus and pray that the blood of Jesus will cover me, my bed, and my room. This is the only thing that makes it stop. This is not a nice feeling. I always feel like it's evil. I have had two instances while my bed was shaking that something very evil was crawling onto my bed, very slowly and I was petrified. I began praying over and over.. I pray the blood of Jesus cover me and my bed and my room....Greater is He who is in me, than he who is in the world. This past year and a half I have become closer to God by praying for a personal relationship with him to help me overcome things going on in my personal life. The bed shaking started shortly after this. I do not drink or use drugs of any kind.

Sleep Vibrations
This has been happening to me off and on for years always irregular and I think I have finally figured out what it is! So I've noticed that when I'm in hotels it doesn't happen, but with my mattress at home is the only place in which it does happen. It is an older mattress and the coils are all connected I believe that with the compression of the coils after you initially settle into bed it sends a sort of wave of vibrations that last a short amount of time. I have found that since replacing the mattress the problem has ceased. My father used to have the same problem until he got a memory foam mattress (don't have springs) and the problem stopped for him as well! I suggest its worth a try to see what type of mattress you have and to change it to one without springs or with springs that are not interconnected. Hope this helps everyone out!

I've experience pretty much the same thing as well. Accept in the past, 3 years ago exactly. The shaking of my bed also came with a evil presence in my room, so I would get out of bed and put clothes on and leave the house. To make a really long story short, I would go for a drive and the spirit would follow me and have oral sex with me while I'm driving (day or night) which could have cause me to have an accident so I would pull my car over to the side of the road and call on Jesus Name. It was very horrific. From that moment on, I would not ever go back to that house, eventually, I moved out of the home. It had turned out that the neighbor downstairs right below me were playing with the ouji board. The woman below me suffers from schizophrenia and she smoked marajuana with her son and she couldn't stand my guts. Her hate was foaming at the mouth rage for me. She had actually jumped on me for no reason and I tried to be neighbors with her. That was before I knew she and her family was practicing the ouji board activity. After she moved she must have had a spirit released to me because I never had any problems with demonic activities until I moved into this particular apartment. but the spirit kept following until this day kept having painful oral sex with me. I continue my walk with the Lord, although, sometimes it gets hard to trust but I endured and conquered. I'm now married, so it doesn't happens that often as it did when I was walking single I keep my eyes on Jesus. luvsme

people pls dont listen to these ppl with their religious inquiries. your bed is shaking bc your heart is racing. next time it shakes..check your pulse on your carotid or your radial artery. what you experiencing are called palpitations...the heart is beating so rapidlly and forcefully that you can literally feel the pumps coming out from your chest cavity and it is moving your stationary bed. go get you blood pressure checked and lay off the coffee. next time you are having one of these episodes there r a few tricks you can do slow your heart down. first try massaging your eye balls or you internal carotid artery located medially on the front of your neck...there r what are known as baroreceptors here. baroreceptors r cells in your vascualr system that are responsible for keeping track of your blood pressure and maintaining it at equilibrium. when you apply pressure at these points it fools the body into thinking you blood pressure is higher than it really is (even though it is propably already very high). the force applied on the baroreceptors will make them send signals to the heart to slow it down. try this...you will feel almost immediate relief. Hope this helps

I've had a few things happen to me in the past few years. I don't have the bed shake necessarily but it's as though something has "bumped" into it or thumped it one time. I woke up because of it and reached over to tell my husband to stop bumping the bed and he wasn't there. He had gone to work early that day. I also woke up a few times around 3am to find our bedroom light on and my husband sleeping soundly next to me. We have the push button type light switches, not the lever kind so it would have taken a person or strong thing to turn our light on. I brushed it off as maybe a house electric surge or something but the bed "thump", I cannot explain. Our house has never had anyone else living in it. Only us. When my younger son was about 3-4 he would say, the man was at my door again Mommy. I really didn't know what that meant. I asked what the man looked like and he said he didn't know; just a man on the door. I'm not sure what that meant, like a silhouette of a spirit on their door? I just shut the door at night and explained to him that it was just an angel sent from God to watch over him at night. He said, Oh, I'm not afraid anymore, Mommy. He hasn't talked about the man at the door for a few years. Could that be a spirit of my Grandfather? He sure loved my older son and never got to meet my younger one. I know that younger children are more prone to seeing spirits. My youngest son does have problems with dark rooms; not sure if it's common or because of the night time man on the door.Anyway, I would appreciate any explanations of the bed thump on my bed.

Bed Rocking
I've woken up periodically to my bed shaking for the last few years. I live in Florida and we only feel tennis from South American earthquakes like once a decade. When it first started, it became such a common occurrence that one morning, I woke up to the bed rocking, realized it was moving, but was so used to it that I went back to sleep and ignored it. A few hours later, I signed online and saw that all my friends were talking about an earthquake in Mexico that caused faint tremors all the way here. After a year or so, the rocking became less frequent, though other, more intense things started in it's place. However, last night, the bed rocked again. I figured it was my dog moving around at the foot of my bed, but when I sat up to check, she was asleep against the wall... nowhere near my bed.

Something bumping bed and touching me
Lovmyboys
I have experienced the same thing for the past three nights. I know I am not going crazy because my husband felt it too. Last night It felt like something pulling on my comforter and then something grabbed my ankle. I know I was not asleep because I was able to get up and turn on my light. I told my husband about it and he said he has had the same thing happen but didn't tell me because he didnt want to scare me. I have no clue what it could be but I KNOW I am awake and because it is happening to both of us I am ruling out sleep paralysis and muscle twitching.

Bed Wiggling/vibrations
ive have been feeling my bed not vibrate, more like wiggle from side to side for a few months now. to me it was something that had to do with the earth, or the ground beneath me was vibrating. It had occured to me that it was possibly an unkwown force, messing with me and moving the bed. But its strange because i dont only feel the vibrations on the bed, i can feel them when im at work and at school. Like if i can sense movement off the ground. Its reaaly weird and ive been freeaking out because ive never cared for or notice it when i was youger, but now its every day that i can feel this!?

Ya man I was having a similar experience, and yes I seen the thing it intentionally went out of its way to intimidate me, and I’m ashamed to say I ran like a little girl. But I’m not going to go into too much detail here… as this will probably make you afraid…. because that’s what this thing wants to happen…you to fear it, I think it get some of its energy from your fear…. because it wants to play with your head. There is nothing to fear at all YOU hold all the cards here not them.

However I thing you need to look at elements of your lifestyle tho are you allowing this thing enter into your life? What tunes are you listing too (Subliminal messaging), do you watch a lot of pornographic content. Are you a hateful person? Please tell me you haven’t messed around with that board? If there are many gateways open you need to close them. You know you could be a good Christian and that’s why you are being targeted… to drag you from the path or to make you question your faith. Now I’m no holy roller here…. really man I’m not, but I did question my faith, and I have accepted it again, it gives me protection and courage.

We are bombarded with many intentional messages and symbols through out the day, just be aware who the real savoir is Jesus Christ, except him into your heart and you should be fine. O ya please don’t listen to psychic know nothings as they are channelling these things, and they will do you more harm than good if you listen to them they can set you up for a fall later on in your life. Nevertheless, get a medical and Catholic priest opinion and see what they say, and do not go digging into the occult information sites or those types of people.

My bed has been shaking intermittently for 3 years now. But lately things have escalated. The bed shakes when I am awake, but not only that I feel like there is a presence in the room with me. My father passed away two weeks ago and I could swear that he was in my room a few nights ago. I was absolutely petrified and I'm the worlds biggest sceptic.

I have also felt at times like I knew I was asleep but was having some kind of out of body experience. It was such a strange feeling, I've never been so uncomfortable before. I've changed beds, moved into different rooms but it continues. The funny thing is that it only happens in my house, I'm fine if I'm sleeping at someone else's place.

Bed vibrations
This has happened to me a few times. Just a few mins ago actually. What I realize is that it's not my bed that's vibrating but in fact the whole house. Turned my a/c off and I realize that a train is rolling by down the street ( the track that crosses a main road is about 80 feet away).

Alright i have a solution to all of u with this problem. If you are completely sure that you are fully awake and definately not doing it yourself it is most likely a ghost or a bad spirit that may have a connection to your room for some reason (e.g died there). Research the history of your house and find out if anyone died there and might still be haunting it. If the bed shaking is the only sign of the ghost that probably means it has a connection to the bed, maybe he/she died there during sleep. I know a lot on this topic so this advice is genuine. And to try and get rid of the evil presence you can "clense" your room out and encourage the spirit to move on to the next life.

Bed Shaking 11/11
I have had this happen to me since I was about 12. I am 25 now, and moved in with my boyfriend 6 months ago, and it is something that he is feeling now too. last night someone close to us was hurt and this bed shaking happened very intensely he was trying to get a hold of us, but our phones were off.
I think I was sensing that someone needed us and was in danger.
I also see 11:11 everywhere.. I am born on 11/11/88 and ever since I remember I also see 11 when something signigicant is happening.
I feel as though there are a lot of signs that are being thrown out at me and I do not have any clue on what to take of it all.

Just wondering, has anyone experienced the later stages of this or does it come to a conclusion? Can this thing possess you or harm you do you think?

So here is bit of science explanation of these demonic activities that causing your bed shake affecting your beautiful life. Let’s see if this making sense at all.. This started in 2010, I was trying to quit smoke started with Nicorette gums, life was restless, one night woke up with bed shaking very lightly, since we are in LA, Calif, we are always careful of earthquakes, so immidietly woke up my wife. She checked touched walls and asked me to go back to sleep as she did not feel anything at all. I blamed it on nicotine as I read somewhere these could cause vivid dreams, so I ignored anything that happened afterwards.

Recently around a month back I felt again this bed shake, this time my wife also felt it, I realized just before these shakes that lasts for less than a minute, I usually see something moved by me, or something touched me etc. etc. As I have read by many people described, I also started to believe it could be demonic stuff … not that easy, I am a software engineer, I won’t give up that easy without finding out the root cause. BTW whatever you going to read below is not just a result of thinking, we work with different scientists, doctors etc., to write software program for them so I actually spent some time with these geniuses & proved myself as what actually going on here. Please Google to know more about below subjects. Let’s take one part at a time, first bed shake & then seeing things. In your case bed shake could be result of one or all causes listed below, if you carefully relate things you might be able to convince yourself and sleep peacefully as it’s no biggie, so please take time and read all.

Reason to BED Shake - 1: Ever heard of “Seismic Noise”? Apart from earthquakes there are persistent vibrations in the ground, since these are so low signals are not recorded by seismometers. Seismic noise has very low amplitude and cannot be felt by humans but sometimes the amplitudes are magnified or amplified and one of the example is bed shake, especially when you are not on ground/first floor, you have used wood for flooring, your bed is at least queen size using slats, springs, louder shake towards center of the floor, remember these shakes cannot be felt when you lying on the floor as on floor these are not amplified. These causes different effects wave like, vibrate like depending the cause of the noise, these are bigger nuisance on the higher buildings. The cause of Seismic Noise could be anything from human activities such as road traffic and industrial work to natural sources like rivers, wind and other atmospheric phenomena that causes ground vibrations. You could feel these shakes anytime fully awake or half sleeping or wake up with these shakes, these shakes could happen every day at same time due to causing activity like train passing every day at same time, though miles away.

Reason to BED Shake - 2: (Trust me combining with fear this is the main culprit for most of people those who feel bed shake at night) Ever heard of “Neural oscillations”? Human body is very complex and it has more secrets than this whole universe anyways, Neural oscillation is rhythmic or repetitive neural activity in the central nervous system. Neural tissue can generate oscillatory activity in many ways, these were observed by researchers as early as Hans Berger in 1924, but their functional role is still not fully understood. But these could happen due to sleep disorder, narcolepsy, or simply due to over dose of day sleeping or overdose of nicotine etc., that disturbs your sleeping cycle. OK, but why would it shake your bed? Neural oscillations(shake within human body) usually occurs when you are trying to sleep or at certain initial stages of sleep, if you are sleeping on hard surface you may not feel these body oscillations, but spring or slatted bed gives you feel of bed shaking, instead of your own body shaking, sometimes these oscillations are passed to your bed and your partner on same bed could also feel it and now you are sure it’s a work of devil.

Demon or Ghost part: Ever heard of “Fear of Unknown”? Fear is an emotion induced by a perceived threat which causes entities to quickly pull far away from it and usually hide. It is a basic survival mechanism occurring in response to a specific stimulus, such as pain or the threat of danger. Now look at the magic of human brain, after you send signals to your brain that you may be in danger, it will not let you rest until unless you are safe, and when you try to sleep your brain will amplify all sounds, just to protect you from danger, you may hear noises louder or you may open your eyes suddenly and guys unfortunately transition of images in to real world from sleep state takes time and you actually may see smoke, a black thing flying or white thing moving around after opening your eyes.

Ok you felt vibration or shake first time, you asked your partner she said no, probably because her side of bed there were no vibes, you go back to sleep thinking it’s all in your head. Fun part, it happens again, you Google it, you read all these stupid demon stuff and now it’s working in your head.

Now look at these events your body is cautious, because you think ghosts are around and watching you, half asleep, bed shakes due to seismic noise or Neural oscillations , suddenly you open your eyes see demon moving, bed still shaking …. You actually feel ghostie woke you up and bed start shaking!!! LOL!!! Worst part is if you try sleep aid pills these may worsen your imagination but with alcohol you will not see any of these ghost as your confidence is high your connection with brain is poor, making sense?

Silly me, I am from India and when I asked my friend he told me to change your house you are living with ghosts … you think that’s wise Smile?
