Recently diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis, given antibiotics and a pelvic ultrasound was ordered. Ultrasound revealed a hemorrhagic cyst on ovary. My question is: Are the infection (BV)) and the cyst related? or simply a coincidence that I got both at same time?

ovarian cysts and bacterial vaginosis
I have the same question. I had bacterial vaginosis for 2 months that kept getting better and worse. When I finally got an ultrasound, I was already feeling better, and it was discovered that I had an ovarian cyst that had burst. Was the ovarian cyst causing the bacterial vaginosis? Was that why it wouldn't clear up?
