I read Bluebird3 post of February 17th, 2010. These are my wife\'s symptom\'s exactly. So I want to know if she was given any advice of what she needed to do to get rid of this problem. She had fusion April 23rd, 2018. First 3 to 4 months after she was doing fine no pain. As time went on started having pain that came and went. Here it is 13 months later and today is a bad day with tail bone area in severe pain. Cant sit long or even lay down well because she has to lay on back or it gets worse. She is laying down now with ice on her. Medications ease pain but no one seems to have an answer. What are we to do? We would like someone to suggest something that might help. Going to doctors constantly is not coming up with a solution. Any advice to help us go in the right direction would be more than welcome.

Back Pain Answer A65072
Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!
I read your question and I understand your concern.
Any intervention in spine can lead to long term complications. Repeat MRI lumbosacral spine is needed to sort it out. Life style modification and back muscles strengthening excercises are also helpful.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
