Hi,
I am 18 years old and have suffered from pain in my body in the past. I have Benign Hereditary Chorea and that is about the balance that I have in my body to put it simple. I have had shooting back pain and neck pain since about a week ago and have tried heat pad, cold compresses and many types of pain relief.
I am having back pain from the time I wake to the time I go to sleep and have had mild pain at night causing me les sleep. any options or thoughts you have that can help me?
Thanks

Back Pain Answer A64770
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

You did not mention any medications that you have used for the pain. The spine needs to be examined and if required an MRI can be advised accordingly. NCS and EMG may also be needed. If the pain is neuropathic then TCAs, Pregabalin or duloxetine can be added to NSAIDs and muscle relaxants to look for improvement, in consultation with your doctor.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
