First Trimester of Pregnancy Answer A14533
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum!

Some back pain and cramps do occur in the first trimester of pregnancy. However they do not last long. If you are having them repeatedly, it would be wise to consult a gynecologist. Possibility of an infection or threatened abortion or maybe even ectopic will have to be ruled out. Hope this helps. Take care!
