Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am glad to help you out. Unfortunately, there's no way to predict whether the pregnancy will be a single baby or twins or more.

The twin pregnancy has got nothing to do with the genes or family and it happens by chance or accident that either 2 sperms fuse with 2 eggs simultaneously resulting in fraternal twins or 1 zygote breaks into two giving rise to identical twins. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
