Hi I m a 29 yr old male I notice a little lump in my left armpit area 6 days ago and only a little pain, but it's been getting bigger more painful that I can't even sleep it includes swollen red and hard around the lump since. I don't use any antiperspirants nor shaved, it just happens out of no where. What could this be? Thanks in advance.

Thank you for asking

Lumps in armpit that sudden in onset and painful is likely an infection and hidradenitis suppurativa is likely etiology. But it could be any thing. COuld be an inflamed axillary lymph node secondary to nearby infection or drainage issues. Any ways it needs a little work up and an expert general surgeon to look into it any further.

take care
