Are my hormones out of whack due to the clomid?

User Profile
Hello I have been on clomid for the past 5months and this month I didn't take it. I had pink and then brown blood discharge 9 days before period due for one day. Are my hormones out of whack due to the clomid or cold it be implantation bleeding? Thanks

Hi, and thanks for your query on eHealth forum!

Since you stopped clomid, it is difficult to say what this was. A slight bleed 9-10 days before the expected due date of periods can be implantation bleed. It can even be a bleed due to delayed ovulation, in which case the periods will come a week later than usual. Hence take a pregnancy test if you miss periods.

If negative, repeat a week later if you do not get periods. In case you do not conceive, please consult your gynecologist run tests to find why you are not conceiving. Hope this helps. Take care!
