my son had appendix out 5 days ago has been home for two days and has thrown up 5 times today but is finally not running a fever. is this normal

I appreciate your concern

Even though he is not febrile, vomiting at this stage of post op 5th day is also not normal. You should take him back for an early followup visit to ensure adequate resolution especially if there was retching and straining leading to increased intra abdominal pressure thus negatively affecting wound healing. Blood counts, abdominal examination and an ultrasound abdomen should be done as part of the workup.
