any way this is still a viable pregnancy?

User Profile
Pregnancy confirmed with doctor's visit on 9-8-14 and was advised about 2 weeks along. He had me get blood work to check my hcg levels the same day and again on Wednesday with a 3rd blood draw the following Monday on the 15th. 1st was at 60, second was at 80 and third test came back 62. Is there any way this is still a viable pregnancy? Feel like I'm losing my mind??

First Trimester of Pregnancy Answer A49419
Hi,

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

Within the first 2-4 weeks after fertilization, hCG usually doubles every 48-72 hours. Since in your case, the levels of HCG are falling, chances of any miscarriage should be ruled out. I suggest you to consult your gynecologist and get an ultrasound uterus done.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
