Any hope filing suit against dentist who caused my TMJ issue?

I went to see a new dentist in July who gave me a great check up but advised I had some 'worn' fillings replaced. I didn't think it was unreasonable since I've had them 30+ years. Now I know, after seeing another dentist, that it was not necessary.

July 30th I had one side of my mouth worked on. I was given several shots of novacaine and she held my mouth open with, I belive, foam inserts (she added even more during the procedure). I left there numb for 4 hours and then realized that my teeth were not meeting on the left side. They stayed that way for 2 weeks. Even with 2+ months of chiropractic treatment and eating only soft foods, I am still having issues with it locking out of place, going out of alingment, popping, and causing great pain.

The recent dentist recommended seeing a TMJ specialist since he found nothing causing the continued issues. I would like to know if I have any chance of getting reimbursed for the charges that I will incure to correct her mistake.

If anyone has any recommendations for a specialist and/or a lawyer in the Atlanta, GA area, I'd be ever so appreciative!!

Don't put if off. It only gets worse. It causes all sorts of issues like major headaches, ear pain, failing eye sight, digestive problems, sleep apnea, loss of balance and co-ordination, fogginess, dizziness and disorientation to name a few.
