Any experience with fertilsan m or Vitamen for better sperm?

User Profile
Hi everyone, my wife and I have been TTC for about 10 months. I know technically we should try for one year before getting worried, but we are both 28 so should really have conceived by now. scared

We are both healthy, don't smoke, don't eat fast food, she even does Yoga.. but still nothing. So we are both looking at taking fertility supplements and I am planning to get a semen analysis done shortly to make sure that my boys are allright.

I have looked at various sperm count and motility boosters and amitamin's fertilsan m seems to get the best reviews across the board. Vitamen ZITA WEST and ProXeed Plus are much bigger names, but I am not convinced they are worth the money.

I would love to hear if anyone has any thoughts or experience about either or similar products?

My wife and I took the amitamin stuff for men and women when we were trying to conceive three years ago. In fact, my wife took fertil F all the way through breastfeeding.

All I can say is that they worked for us. Both products are excellent and don’t cost too much. I did a lot of research about which nutrients are the best fertility boosters and compared the amounts in many supplements against the amounts used in successful studies. This is a very useful paper, which references many studies: http://www.altmedrev.com/publications/5/1/ 28.pdf

I also looked at buying vitamins individually, but once you add it up it makes much more sense to get an all-in-one pill. Fertilsan m had the best nutrients at the best price so I bought a load of it and my wife was pregnant three months later. No messing around! I haven’t tried the other products you’re asking about and would rather not comment.
Ultimately the only thing that counts is whether your wife gets pregnant. You will never know what made the difference or what’s keeping you. All you can do is your very best to increase your probabilities.

You are still young and you have time on your hands and you can do many things to turn the odds in your favour. I would not stress about it, try to enjoy this time “just” with your wife (you won’t have it again for a long time!) and try for another six months, before you look at expensive treatment.

Live healthy, time your BMS perfectly (see my post from January 7th, 2014) and yes take good supplements so you both have all the nutrients in your bodies to make your perfect baby. Good luck!

Thank you so much for your post DeGreef. We’ve been on the ZITA WEST pills Vitafem and Vitamin for about 9 months, because we are trying to conceive our second child.. so far without success. Our boy wasn't planned so we were never worried, but this time it is proving a challenge. baffle DH did a semen analysis and had a slightly low count and low motility/progression so I really like that fertilsan m has so much amino acids and high amounts of zinc and folic acid. I also realised that saving a few bucks makes no sense here, because we are not getting any younger and can’t afford to waste our time..

When I searched for male fertility supplements I found a review, which compares a lot of products side by side

It never occurred to me that the differences between the products could be so big. protest I will switch to fertilsan and cross my fingers. I have also read your post about BMS timing. thanks We are going to get busy.

Thank you both DeGreef and Elihu. That is really useful info. I have also seen the comparison and just bought six months of fertilsan M and fertil F each. Also we will make sure we get the BMS (love the word!) timing spot on.
Elihu, you are so right about the clock ticking. I have always wanted three kids, which I know is ambitious, but we shall see Smile Good luck for your number 2!

I need help. My husband and I are desperately trying to conceive and want to use Fertilisan M. Unfortunately, I live in USA and the company who makes Fertilisan M does not ship to the US. Does anyone know of a way I can get this sent to me? Asking for help in Alabama.

Cor10ebrooke, so sorry for the late response. I am not here often any more Smile Our Number 3 (Josh) arrived in October last year! I think I took fertilsan for about 5 months plus lots of extra omega-3 until we got the BFP.

I just googled fertilsan m and saw that you can now buy it on amazon. Dont waste your time with FertilAid. Its got no amino acids. Remember the ticking clock and buy the best you can afford. Good luck
