Anxiety and Stress Question

User Profile
I always stress over the craziest things, like how much money my parents spent on me, or is my friend ok?. I even worry about someone breaking into my home and I see and hear everything that is going on. I can't sleep because of it and every noise that goes on at my house at night I hear it and almost everything stress me out and I can't sleep because of it. My heart starts racing and I feel like I'm all alone even though I'm not. I feel like no one is there in my home, and that I'm all alone in this dark room. When I start getting stressed my whole body shakes and I start sweating. And when I have told my mom she doesn't believe me or understand. I feel like it is just stress but I think it is much more than that. I need answers or ways to fix this, this is taking away my sleep and making me tired and I don't know why this is happening. Can you guys help me?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Your symptoms imply anxiety disorder. I would suggest you thyroid function tests to rule out hyperthyroidism. If TFTs were found normal then start propanolol 20mg twice a day and escitalopram 10mg daily.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
