Good morning. For a while now I've been dealing with a few strange symptoms. Namely: shortness of breath, light-headed/off-balance, mild daily headaches, and tiredness. None of it has been overwhelming, but enough to cause me concern. After visiting the doctor a few times he recommended I seek a mental health professional because he thinks it is anxiety/stress related. I think he may be unto something, but still have some doubts. I eat incredibly healthy and exercise frequently, though my symptoms can get in the way. My blood work has been solid, including exploratory test results for SED rate, C-Reactive, T3, T4, TSH, A1C, etc...only Vitamin D (24), Vitamin B12 (485), and Total Cholesterol (105) were at levels that felt a bit too close for comfort. My MCHC was also a bit low (31.8 L in a 32.0 - 36.0 scale). My question is: besides anxiety or stress, is there anything else that could cause these symptoms that my primary and I are overlooking?

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
As your thyroid hormone levels and other biochemical tests are normal,I would suggest you to have functional MRI brain and Hepatitis B & C serology as atypical migraine and chronic hepatitis can also cause these pattern of symptoms.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care

I've been suffering from Social Anxiety since I was 7 years old, due to a molestation i went through at 7 years old. I cant be in a crowded place that has men involved and wont be at a place that is too crowded (feeling anxious) I have been prescribed xanax 1mg since i was 17years old, I dont want to be on this controlled substance any longer and i think ive tried every anxiety medication in the book (maybe) busbar, valium, klonapin, lozarpam...but xanax is the only one that helps, just having one in my pocket mental calms me down without taking it. I did speak to many drs and psychs but they always refer back to xanax....anyone ever been on xanax and went to another drug helping w/ their anxiety and it worked??
