anxiety and panic attacks/like some heart palpitations

User Profile
Having a really hard time lately with my sleep management. I am very stressed with college and also my family. Some of my siblings and family are all on a vacation and I am left at college with a lot of stressful things to manage. I'm worried about finances and life in general a lot, including my future. I am having some anxiety and panic attacks/like some heart palpitations in the afternoons and sometimes before bed. I wake up and there's anxiety in the morning for a bit after I wake up. I am trying to calm things down in my life, but there's a lot going on. I am trying some meditation and yoga but it only seems minimally effective. The best thing that's helped so far is just light exercise but the gym is really far away and the weather is getting more and more cold (winter-like) so I'm just trying to manage. I don't have a lot of friends and just dealing with life's challenging like money, happiness, social aspects, finding hobbies, are just to name a few of my challenges.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and i understand your concern. These are all stressors of life and should be dealt with normally but it should not affect your sleep. Make a routine, early to bed and early to rise . Exercise frequently, do yoga or any other meditation. Prayers have shown benefit in sleep disorders. Get a sleep disorder specialist and take some anxiolytics and antidepressants if needed.

I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
