Is Xarelto safe with Antiphospholipid Syndrome? I was just as prescribed Rx in ER due to dvt and PE (first time diagnosis for each). But I read online i should take different med. Previously my Rheumatologist only told me to take baby aspirin each day. I’m making a follow up appt Monday.

Thank you for asking at Ehealth forum!

I read your question and I understand your concern.
Its safe and mandatory in antiphospholipid syndrome. The only major but rare side effect is gastrointestinal bleeding.
I hope it helps. Stay in touch with your healthcare provider for further guidance as our answers are just for education and counselling purposes and cannot be an alternative to actual visit to a doctor.
Take care
