Anorexia with small weight loss

Hi I was diagnosed with Anorexia binge purge type but my weight loss was very minimal. I lost around or less than ten pounds over the course of 6+ months of trying to lose weight. My restriction also wasn't that extreme. So how is that anorexia?

Hi welcome to ehealth forum I have read your query and would like to answer

Anorexia is a psychological disorder characterised by a devastating fear of weight gain that results in the refusal of food intake in order to avoid weight gain. The patient thinks he/she is over weight even when they are not. It’s a clinical diagnosis with many signs and symptoms.
Your provided history is insufficient and does not fit in the diagnosis of Anorexia Nervosa. kindly follow it up with your reading physician.
Best wishes,
Dr. Khalil
