Please don't judge me! I have been with my boyfriend for A YEAR AND A HALF! It's not like we've been together for 2 months and we've been having sex.

I am 15. I have been with my boyfriend for a year and a half, and we are really, really close. We've done everything pretty much except sex because we aren't ready for that yet.

I was on birth control for 5 months or so but I haven't taken one for a month, maybe more. I'm not sure.

*I feel like I should add that before I started taking my pill in the first place, I didn't have a period for 6 months after my last one.

Anyway, my period is two days late. My boyfriend and I are horrified. I have no idea what to do. I honestly don't feel any different. I've been getting some cramps every once in a while (they feel normal) and headaches like I always do before my period. I haven't thrown up or lost/gained an appetite, anything like that. Just my normal pre-period symptoms.

So, what do you guys think? Was it just my pill? Or could I be pregnant? Should I get a pregnancy test?

Please help us out... <3

You can not get pregnant without having sex. The only way would be for you to be sure of what is going on is for you to have a gyn exam. Since you are in a serious relationship and sex is inevitable, I would just start having regular gynecological exams now. I would however, abstain from having any type of sexual relations with your boyfriend until you have an exam. You can go to a free womens clinic in your area. Just google free women's healthcare in your area or ask a guidance counselor at school. They usually have access to all of the free clinics in their area. Please be safe no matter what you do, and take care of yourself so that you can one day start a family when you are ready!
