Am I pregnant? This is new to me

I really need some advice, I know none of you are medical professionals but right now before I go to the doctor I just want a better idea because this is new to me. My period is 3 days late. It was supposed to start on November 29th. My boyfriend came in me over 2 weeks ago unprotected while I was fertile on November 15th. (I track everything my period, days I'm intimate, etc) well is it too early to take a pregnancy test? I'm a bit worried it's too early. The only symptoms I've had is I've been having headaches every day and peeing more frequently. Do you think I'm pregnant? And when should I take a pregnancy test?

Welcome to the ehealthforum and I am really glad to help you out.

If you had unprotected intercourse during ovulation, chances of pregnancy are there.

If you are apprehensive regarding the status of your pregnancy you can get it checked. Most home pregnancy tests that check urine beta-HCG are sensitive to 20-25 mIU/ml of HCG. The test can be positive anywhere from about 2-3 days prior to a missed menses to 4-5 days after, but usually it should be done 7-10 days past your missed period.

Otherwise you can get a serum HCG also done which is more specific than urine pregnancy test.

I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
