Am I Pregnant Answer A8036
Hi, and thanks for your medical question on eHealth forum

Well the two most common cause of inter menstrual spotting have to be ruled out in your case—pregnancy and birth control pills. Your symptoms can be due to pregnancy. However they can also be due to hypothyroidism or polycystic disease of the ovary which can also cause spotting between two periods.

Other causes are cervical dysplasia, cervical polyps, cervicitis (infection/inflammation of cervix), vaginitis (infection/inflammation of vagina), cervical and uterine cancer, uterine fibroids, use of blood thinners, genital ulcers, STDs and stress.

It is difficult to comment beyond this at this stage. A confirmed diagnosis cannot be given on net. Please discuss this with your gynecologist. Hope this helps. Take care!
