Hi,
Welcome to ehealthforum.
Delayed periods, changed bleeding pattern, dark brown discharge, shorter and lighter ‘periods’ could be indicative of pregnancy (since you are trying to conceive). Look out for other symptoms suggestive of early pregnancy like fatigue, nausea, constipation, increased sleep, hunger and tiredness, mood changes, headaches, breast soreness, nipple sensitivity, blue veins on breasts, back pain, lower abdominal cramps, increased frequency of urine, pelvic discomfort and heaviness, food cravings, dizziness, increase in vaginal discharge.
Visit your gynecologist/obstetrician for examination and tests (blood HCG levels) to confirm it. Urine pregnancy tests can show you false negative results (negative result even though you are pregnant) due to less concentration of pregnancy hormone (HCG) in urine and hence cannot be relied upon for accuracy.
Take care.
